I read it as a kid

I read this book as a kid and it actually made me interested in learning more about why it rains. I went to the library and looked up weather pictures of strange phenomenon and still love weather to this day.

Clips

I would not show the entire movie to kids because it would eat up too much classroom time, but I would definitely show clips and ask students to interpret what they see. If they can relate the information to real weather events, they could learn to explain exactly why it rains or why tornadoes occur. The book would also make a great book report assignment.
