Background:
Michielle “Michi” Beck grew up in the desert southwest, and has worked as a freelance writer since 1994, taking on that role exclusively in 2000 when she quit her ‘real job’ to write full time. During her career she has written many informative articles on various subjects including economics, technology, local happenings, and human interest stories. All of these were written for local newspapers under various pen names, including two papers where she was responsible for an entire page of information every week. She enjoyed her time working with newspapers but has moved on to write for companies on the Internet.
Philosophy:
In addition to the newspaper and Internet work, Michi has had poems published and is currently working on her first novel, of which the first draft is nearing completion. She enjoys both fiction and non-fiction writing, and often takes the time to write about the smaller things in life, as she believes those things have lessons behind them that most people do not realize. It is not only the big things that are important in our daily lives, and since she is often reminded of that it appears frequently in her particular style of writing.
Other Work:
Michi serves as one of the founding members of the Editorial Board of an Internet company called Your Information Center. The company provides free reports and information to help consumers with their needs and questions in various aspects of their lives. Company informational products range from gardening to education to business techniques and beyond. Michi has been active with the company since its creation and plays a role both as an editor and a writer.
Hobbies and Life:
Michi lives in Navarre, Florida, where she enjoys the frequently rainy weather, hurricane season, the mild winters, and the sheer beauty of the area. Her hobbies include music, reading, writing, home improvement, and spending time with her family and friends.
Education:
Michi holds an Associate Degree in Business Management, a Bachelor's Degree in Legal Administration, and is a life member of Mensa, the high IQ society.
