Winter Safety - How to Prepare for Winter

Winter safety should be a top priority for you and your family if you live in a location with cold winter weather. There are multiple types of winter storms each with associated hazards. For instance, lake effect snow is often a culprit in winter storm deaths because the amount of snow can be so great. Beyond car accidents, many fatalities are blamed on shoveling snow. In fact, men account for 75% of all winter storm fatalities, so now is the time to get ready for winter.
