The Ways Weather and Climate Change Historical Events

A Collection of Historical Stories, Books, and Folklore

From , former About.com Guide

We have all been a victim of meteorological mishaps. Think about it…
  • You have weekend getaway plans that are suddenly ruined by a tornado watch or warning...
  • Or what about the time you tried to finish your gardening only to get washed out by a sudden downpour.
  • And let’s not forget those awful hair days from high humidity and winds that prevented you from going out in public! (Okay, maybe not for the guys out there!)
Yes…the weather can and does change some of the mundane parts of our lives. I wouldn’t exactly call these changes groundbreaking or Earth shattering, but it is a change none the less. The weather and history are integrated topics coexisting in a perpetual side-by-side dance. Believe it or not, major historical events have been drastically changed as a result of the weather. From slave revolts, to bubonic plague, to the sound quality of a Stratavarius violin, weather has played a major role in the outcome of historical events.

I have put together a list of resources for people to explore this wonderful science content integration topic.
