Hurricane
Humberto was the first hurricane to make landfall for two years. In 2005,
Wilma was the last hurricane to make its way onto US soil. The fairly inactive
2006 season and the
hurricane predictions for 2007 lead many to believe this would not even be a hurricane. but the storm actually reached category 2 on the Saffir-Simpson Scale. Damages were minimal, but many residents in the Texas, Louisiana, and (later) Georgia areas were drenched by the rains. In fact, several
tornadoes resulted from the hurricane.
