Climate: The climate of Vietnam is considered to be tropical in the south. The north is monsoonal with a hot, rainy season from May to September and a warm, dry season from October to March.

Location: Vietnam is located in Southeastern Asia, bordering the Gulf of Thailand, Gulf of Tonkin, and South China Sea. It is alongside China, Laos, and Cambodia.

Environment: Environmental issues in Vietnam include logging and slash-and-burn agricultural practices which contribute to deforestation and soil degradation. Water pollution and overfishing threaten marine life populations while groundwater contamination limits the potable water supply. Growing urban industrialization and population migration are rapidly degrading the environment in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.
