Average Costa Rica Weather Conditions by Location

Climate: Costa Rica climate is considered to be tropical and subtropical. Although higher elevations can be cooler, the dry season in Costa Rica runs from December to April while the rainy season lasts from May to November.

Location: Costa Rica is located in Central America, bordering both the Caribbean Sea and the North Pacific Ocean. It is located between Nicaragua and Panama.

Environment: Environmental issues in Costa Rica are deforestation and the clearing of land for cattle ranching and agriculture. Going hand-in-hand with this problem is soil erosion. Other problems include coastal marine pollution and air pollution.
