Location: Antarctica a continent mostly south of the Antarctic Circle.
Environment: Environmental issues in Antarctica include katabatic (gravity-driven) winds which blow coastward from the high interior. Frequent blizzards form near the foot of the plateau and cyclonic storms form over the ocean and move clockwise along the coast. Another large problem is the ozone hole. In 1998, NASA satellite data showed that the Antarctic ozone hole was the largest on record, covering 27 million square kilometers.
Current Weather: The following list of locations in Antarctica is provided for your convenience. You may select the desired city or regional location for the current weather conditions.
