Tropical Storm Colin, the fourth storm in the 2010 hurricane season, came and went with little harm. The storm, which dissipated on August 8, was last identified near Bermuda. Despite the seemingly slow start to the season, NOAA scientists are still fairly certain 2010 will be an above average season, although no where near as intense as the record-breaking 2008 hurricane season. With the most intense month (September) right around the corner, more storms could be on the way. It is predicted that 4 to 6 major hurricanes (Category 3 and above on the Saffir-Simpson scale) could still be in store. As of right now, a low pressure system about 1100 miles Northeast of the Leeward Islands is developing. The National Hurricane Center indicates that this storm has a 70% chance of developing into tropical cyclone Danielle in the next 48 hours.
