Flood in Yemen Kills Hundreds

Wednesday October 29, 2008
In Yemen, 180 people have died or are missing after torrential rains caused flooding leaving more than 10,000 people homeless. According to Reuters, Yemen is prone to flooding during monsoon season. Yemen is located in the Middle East, bordering the Arabian Sea, Gulf of Aden, and the Red Sea. Located between Saudi Arabia and Oman, Saudi Arabia has pledged $100 million in aid to the flood victims, but it may not be enough. The flooding has completely devastated the region as can be seen in an image gallery from the BBC. Read more on the average climate of Yemen.

Yemenia government is worst of that of Maynmar .. we have noted the army recieve the food and all support including tents and they give only old bad rice and flower to the homeless people .. the loacal authorities refused any help from the local charity associtations ,,, this is to use their effort for the upcoming parlement ellection .. but i am sure it will not serve them ..
