Weather Glossary: Overcast Skies

Overcast skies (at least in my area of the country) are pretty much the norm this time of year. On a weather map, symbols are used to indicate this lower visibility condition where 90% minimum of the sky is covered in clouds. And, while fog is a low visibility condition, it is not considered overcast. Still wondering if your area has an official designation as overcast? Find out how to estimate sky conditions now.
