The Smog Blog
Monday October 6, 2008
Interested in smog conditions in the Caribbean? Then check out NASA's new 'Smog Blog'. Officially called the MesoAmerican and Caribbean Smog Blog, this Web site provides local and regional smog data in the region as a service to the public. The Smog Blog is written by faculty and students at the University of
Panama and staff from the Water Center for the Humid Tropics of Latin
America and the Caribbean (CATHALAC). It is the newest addition to
SERVIR (a Spanish term), a regional environmental monitoring
system that uses satellites such as Terra and Aqua to promote air quality understanding in Central America.
