Galveston Hurricane Victims Beg to Go Home

Hurricane Ike will go down as a billion dollar weather disaster.

While most of Galveston Island remains without running water, electricity, or gas since the hurricane hit in the early morning hours of September 13, 2008, city officials announced yesterday that most residents would be allowed to return to their homes on Wednesday September 24, 2008.
