Summer Student Opportunities in Meteorology

Tuesday June 24, 2008
Every year, hundreds of undergraduate and graduate students in the atmospheric sciences look for summer opportunities and internships. Summer internships can keep students fresh and competitive in their meteorology studies.
  • Find a summer or full-time UCAR job on the career page.
  • American Meteorological Society internships are available in a wide range of topics and in several states across the US.
  • Oregon State University is offering paid research internships for 20 students during the summer of 2008 thanks to funding from the National Science Foundation and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. Known as the REU (Research Experience for Undergraduates) program, this experience offers students the unique opportunity to work on individual research projects, and participate in group field trips, seminars and science colloquia over a 10-week period.
  • Check the National Weather Association job board for a chance to work part-time or full-time.
Check out other summer meteorology programs and jobs. You can also add your own links to the list.
