Make Your Own Virtual Weather World

Flying your own weather balloon may not be the easiest task to undertake...In fact, even many weather enthusiasts have not even completed this easy atmospheric experiment. But now you can fly your own weather balloons or dive into the center of a hurricane in an airplane in the Linden Labs Second Life program.

Second Life is a wildly popular virtual world that is easy to download and use. With minimal learning time, you can start using a program called Meteora from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. Using the Meteora program, you can create your own virtual weather world within Second Life where the possibilities for engaging in some real learning fun are endless.
