Noel Threatening Cuba and Bahamas

Yet another hurricane in the 2007 hurricane season is headed our way. Tropical Storm Noel is threatening areas in the Bahamas and Cuba today. With increasing strength projected, the storm has maximum sustained winds of 50 mph currently. The following areas are under tropical storm warnings and watches:

  • The Turks and Caicos Islands
  • The Bahamas
  • Cuba
  • Haiti
  • The Dominican Republic
Residents in Florida are also asked to prepare for the storm and monitor its progress because the storm is moving to the Northwest at around 15 miles per hour. It is expected to move between Cuba and the Central Bahamas by tonight (10/29/07).
