It started in the 1990s. Warm temperatures and a high demand for water created dry conditions across many parts of the world. But with a few rainy years, many people assume drought conditions no longer exist.

Avoiding mistakes in drought-prone regions of the world starts with educating yourself on the conditions necessary for droughts. Like the Dust Bowl of the 1930s, no one wants to see suffering and starvation as a result of a lack of the world's most precious commodity. No, it is not gas....

The most precious commondity in the world is water.
