Surviving Hurricane Wilma: A Cancun Vacation NOT to Remember

As a weather writer, I am always looking for personal stories of survival through nature's most violent storms. Afterall, we are all subject to the daily changes in weather. But some of you have had more than a usual and mundane experience with the weather.

In fact, some of you are true survivors. For that reason, I would like to honor all who have experienced some of the aftermath of a tornado, hurricane, typhoon, flood, or other natural disaster. For more information on submitting your weather survival story, please visit the weather writers guidelines and you could be the next featured writer! Although I get a large amount of email per day, if you have a story idea and are not sure if it is appropriate, please just email me at weather.guide@about.com. I will give you all the details you need. In addition, you can post you weather pictures in the weather chat rooms. Share your story! Your story of survival and hardship may be the key to another person's well being during the next violent storm!
